After CopyQ yesterday, today we would like to recommend a clipboard software called FastClip. In addition to the traditional functions such as automatic fetching of system clipboard data, Direct Paste and continuous recording of copied clipboard data, this software also has an innovative Pin card for the type of clipboard entries. In addition, the software also inherits the Snippets snippet management function, which allows us to create a snippet for a clipboard entry within the application, so that we can quickly expand the content when retrieving the clipboard. This feature does not mean that it can be used in other applications.
The interface of FastClip is quite traditional, with a clipboard history on the left, a preview of the content on the right and an input box and pin card switching area in the header.
To create a pin card you need to fill in the name, Icon colour and the type of clipboard entry you want to auto-sort, click on the ‘+’ and then select the auto-sort tab and complete ‘Add’.
After that, when you copy any image, screenshot or link, it will automatically sort to the corresponding Pin card, however, when I tried to auto-sort screenshots, it did not automatically sort to the corresponding Pin card, probably due to a bug.
The aforementioned creation of snippets for clipboard entries can be managed in the background settings.
Finally, the sync function allows you to quickly synchronise your clipboard data between macOS and iOS. The sync mechanism is based on password authentication and Bluetooth technology.
I also encountered an error here, but I was able to join the network. It was a simple process to enable data syncing directly on FastClip on iOS to join the sync network.
The syncing of clipboard entries from the Mac is very fast and you can also create entries on the iOS side to sync to the Mac side.
